After gaining a degree in graphic design at Buckinghamshire University College, Si Scott used his skills to develop a characteristic style which combines hand-inked and penned artwork with modern typography. Si’s work is often thought to be digital imagery, however his work is all originally hand drawn with good old pen and paper. Si’s style has won him a prestigious and ever-expanding client list, including Volvo, Hugo Boss, Nike, Guiness, Orange, MTV and Casio.
The animal series from which ‘Stag’ and ‘Ram’ come from were originally produced as a brief for Resonate, and the digitalized images from this brief were published and are nearly sold out. Our editions which are printed by Fine Art Trade Guild printers on thick Hahnemuhle Photo Rag 308gsm, are taken from the original hand inked drawings and are available in edition runs of 25 in both sizes A1 and A2. The ‘Swan’ was an image first displayed as ‘True Love Will Find You In The End’ at the Varsko 4 exhibition, Trondheim, Norway,2008. The swan image is further explored in further works for Grafik Magazine and Vogue India.
The ‘Techno Tree’ print was originally designed for for a T-shirt for Electronic Poet, the techno tree depicts the development of Techno music stemming from Kraftwerk. Due to popular demand for this image and to display the inter relation between Electronic Poet and Si Scott, we decided to turn this image into an Open Edition Print.
Si Scott’s work has recently been received into the fine art collector’s arena exhibiting and lecturing around the world seen of late at Omega Code, Sao Paulo in Brazil, Some Kind of Wonderful in Sydney, 100 pieces of Havana in London's Truman Brewery and Varsko 4 in Norway. Si Scott was recently named as an ‘Artist to Invest In’ by Men’s Health editorial.
